CRT CORP was founded in 1987 by Tony Diaz and Estuardo Galvez, with a mission to provide the finest quality depot repair and support services available in the mini-computer world. To achieve this goal, the latest state of the art functional test equipment were used extensively throughout the repair, testing, and QC processes. By the early 1990’s CRT CORP had established itself as a leader in the rapidly growing 4th Party Repair arena. Many OEM’s such as AST and Point 4 Data Corporation depended on CRT CORP to help fill their repair backlog. By 1997 mini-computers were a thing of the past and so were many of the OEM’s  that depended on  CRT CORP. The repair industry had changed but the need for quality repair depots had not. CRT CORP had established itself as a premiere monitor repair facility by utilizing the latest SENCORE test equipment and state of the art packaging. TOSHIBA AMERICA, SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS and NEC came to CRT CORP to provide refurbishment services on CRT monitors. CRT CORP was a hot commodity in the repair arena and the decision was made to sell the company to the highest bidder. The company was sold and the operation was moved to Mexico. After waiting the 3 year period mandated by the sale, Tony Diaz reemerged in the computer business in the year 2000 along with Darren Frenchick. Following the formula of success of the original CRT CORP the new CRT was started with a specialized ATE to perform repairs on laptop motherboards. The new corporation started doing business as GBS TECHNOLOGIES. In 2004 we expanded our services to include sales of new and refurbished computer parts.  To better market our expanding product line we now operate under the name Preferred Computer Parts. HEWLETT PACKARD, TOSHIBA AMERICA, and BROTHER INTERNATIONAL depend on Preferred Computer Parts’ diverse repair capabilities and quality spare parts.   In May of 2007 Preferred expanded it’s repair capabilities by purchasing a state of the art BGA rework station. Throughout  the past 7 years, Preferred Computer Parts has kept pace with the ever changing electronics industry, and now offers repair services directly to end-users through the internet.
